Team Murder Inc. 17 vs. Team G-Unit 8 Friday, November 18, 2005
Another kick in the teeth for the G-Unit... tonight the ice appeared slanted in one direction as Murder Inc. ran away from an early 3-3 tie to run the virtual PP in the offensive zone for most of the night... tap-in goals became routine and offense came from everyone 'cept the Zamboni driver... in a rare pre-game sub trade, interim captains Albert Chang and Jason Lai manage to deal Fern Chow into the mix but it wasn't nearly enough and all in vain in spite of a hat trick from the latter... Team Murder Inc. simply had too many weapons tonight even with Aaron Oye out of the mix whereas super-sub Kevin Ma stepped in seamlessly and showed some flashes of days past... rookie Dan Lee made his unexpected league debut for the hapless G-Unit as the late replacement for rarely seen captain Ron Pong who continues to rack up impressive PDP totals while subbing out... oh, if only those points would convert at game time... speaking of late, sub Trevor Lai shows up tardy and adds to the misery of the losing squad... meanwhile Sherm Woo sits in the box for yet another penalty tonight making him the PIM league leader this series hands-down... Murder Inc's goals came fast and furious from the usual suspects along with contributions from Stan Quan scoring his second in as many games and a sweet high risin slapper from Calvin Cheng on the fly no less... the series capper is on tap as Murder Inc. look to steamroll the opposition yet again... will captains Pong and Oye rally the troops for a Cinderella recovery? Wait and see but don't hold your breath.
