Pickleball and Pizza Party Please

Back to the indoor dome at the Poirier Forum for our 3rd annual team tournament (and as fate would have it, it turned out to be a damp, wet day outside anyways). Most of the usual suspects were back along with a few welcome new faces too. Extra time was alloted this year (5 hours!) but we ate it all up, literally and figuratively as a massive pizza order was brought in for food on the fly amidst the action. Another 6 team battle royal on 6 courts runnning simultaneously for constant play, all cumulating with a rare dream breaker showdown between the top two teams.

Team Grey outlasted Team White for the title in a 22-20 nailbiter, while Team Black leapfrogged Team Red for the bronze medal after their 4th place RR finish. Meanwhile, Team Blue climbed out of their basement RR finish to sneak into 5th place, leaving Team Pink on the tail end after the conclusion of the medal round. Lots of hard fought games had by all!

Another event in the books on what turned out to be a long day, a tiring day, but a fun day too. Bree Quan won the lotto prediction contest attempting to guess the teams' finishing order (2 of 6) collecting a $20 cash prize in the process, while Ed Law delighted many of us with fun take home gifts at the conclusion too.
